The Bursledon Village Band are one of the best Barn Dance & Ceilidh Bands in the UK. Firm favourites as a Folk Dance Band at Folk Festivals, Ceilidh clubs and Barn Dances for over 30 years.

Pete Theobald

Pete first joined the band back in 1977 when he was very young!. A lifestyle change meant he had to leave after a couple of years but now he's back playing an assortment of brass instruments in his inimitable style.

When he was first with us he restricted himself to the Euphonium but now in later life he has difficulty making up his mind between the Euphonium, the Tuba or his nice shiny new Trombone.

Pete provides an endless source of zany humour to our evenings. He keeps telling us he's very shy but somehow we don't believe him. If there's room on the stage watch out for the choreography. Pete's day time job is a teacher, if his school lessons are half as funny as our band bookings his pupils must have a great time.

In his spare time Pete runs a brass band and helps with others and when he gets a minute he plays Golf (even when its wet !!!)
